Living/Dining
A south-facing wall of virtually floor-to-ceiling windows keeps the main living/dining space bright and inviting. Original plaster walls and the home’s double-brick construction allow for maximum floorspace without encroaching on precious square footage. Not open-concept but certainly open!

Before
Faded, yellowing maple floors; plaster window valances; builder’s-box mouldings; and a swirly ceiling motif – an earlier iteration of the popcorn ceilings we all love to hate – collectively tell the tale of a space well-past its prime. The lack of lighting in the living area was typical in smaller homes of this period, making it necessary to rely solely on floor and table lamps for evening light.
